Padstow is an unspoilt fishing town with spectacular cliff walks and scenic countryside right on its doorstep. Things to see and do include water sports, all kinds of boat trips and walking or cycling the Camel Trail. The town also boasts a number of restaurants, shops and inns.
This comfortable, homely and well equipped Victorian end terraced house, is situated in a residential area only 5 minutes' walk from Padstow town centre and the harbour. The historic working fishing port of Padstow is built into a narrow inlet on the River Camel estuary. Sailing and windsurfing are popular on the estuary waters, with flotila of yachts often found tying up next to fishing boats off loading their catches into the waiting arms of the chefs from the nearby seafood restaurants. A variety of fishing trips leave daily from the harbour, as well as speed boat and pleasure boat rides. There are championship golf links at Trevose and St. Enodoc; a passenger ferry and water taxi runs across the estuary to Rock. The route of the old railway track to Bodmin and beyond is now a popular trail for cyclists and walkers alike and offers some wonderful scenery along the way. These attractions become even more special out of season, when at times you can find yourself leaving the only trail of footprints along the beach, or driving the only car along the windy country roads.
This property is in prime location to centre your holiday from, allowing easy access to good quality surf beaches or short drive to Eden project, Heligan Gardens and Minack Theatre. With nearby Port Isaac made infamous from the Doc Martin hit series with Martin Clunes, and Poldark hit series highlighting just some of the magic of the area.
